I make bespoke house numbers and signs from either slate of Portland stone.
The signs can be painted or gilded using 23.5 carat gold leaf.
Regarding the installation of a house number or house sign I use what is referred to as the 'hidden fixing' method for nearly all of my signs.
This involves setting dowelling pins halfway into the back of the sign. Holes are then drilled into the location of the sign to receive the pins. The sign is bonded into place using an epoxy resin.
I supply full installation instructions and the necessary fixings with all of my signs.
For signs that do not require a permanent fixing, I can fit a keyhole plate into the back of the sign for easy removal.
